Got a hankering for pool? Darts? Or how about nightly specials to brighten your spirits (pun intended)? Well mosey on over to Mulligan’s, the pool hub of Downtown Boise.

MulligansConveniently located on Main, across the street from The Bouquet (check out our review on the oldest bar in Boise while you’re here), this lively bar sports six pool tabs, two foosball tables, dartboards, arcade games, and nightly specials so cheap you won’t think twice about the cab fare on the way home.

This full bar provides you with 11 beers on tap, PBR tall boys and “forties”, and mixed drinks galore. Whiskey fans can take solace in the nicely proportioned whiskey and Cokes, while a tasty AMF is waiting for people that want to get straight to business.

Don’t worry about stopping for a hot dog on the way in. Mulligan’s provides a menu of classic bar food so you can get your grub, pool and drink on all at the same time. And with hours from 11 a.m.-2 a.m. on the weekdays and 1 p.m.-2 a.m on the weekends, there’s never a bad time to stop by Mulligan’s.

Our Take:

Mike:
I liked the atmosphere at Mulligan's, it was "Sports Bar" meets "Downtown Bar". With the pool, the music, the TV's and a full bar, Mulligan's has a nice blend of everything a guy (not on the prowl) would want in a bar. I haven't seen it on a Friday night, but I can imagine it gets a decent crowd. My favorite part of Mulligan's is the PBR caps lined up through the entire bar under plexi-glass. Thanks to the bartending staff for being so open, as well!

Matt:
There are many different types of drinkers. Some people just want to sit at home with friends and watch a movie. They are "Quiet Drinkers". Then there are your "Dangerous Drinkers" who want to climb buildings, start fights, or run with scissors.  This bar is for the "Active Drinkers."  You can recognize those drinkers because they are always the ones that want to get up and do something.  They are not content just sitting there drinking.

Mulligans has pool tables, video golf (Golden Tee, of course), foosball, darts, Big Buck World and pinball.  The bar is set up in such a way that you can be talking with your friends (or making new 'friends') playing games and having great drinks in a fun atmosphere.
